HOW TO BECOME A GUARDIAN OF THE BRITISH NORMANDY MEMORIAL
A MESSAGE FROM OUR NORMANDY VETERAN PATRON GEORGE BATTS
Will you help me to guarantee the long-term maintenance of the British Normandy Memorial and through it, the continued remembrance of the 22,442 men and woman whose names are inscribed on it?
The British government is not providing any funding for the maintenance of this important national Memorial as we’d hoped. We must therefore find the funding ourselves.
To this end, we have set up The Normandy Memorial Guardian Programme to give an opportunity to our generous supporters to safeguard the Memorial and ensure its continued wellbeing for future generations.
You will be the Guardians of the memory of one of the most momentous events in our recent history; Guardians of the remembrance of the 22,442 who sacrificed their lives for our freedom; and Guardians of the lessons from which future generations will benefit.
On behalf of the Normandy Veterans, to whom the Memorial means so much, thank you.
Would you consider setting up a regular direct debit gift and/or leaving a gift in your will to the Normandy Memorial Trust? All the funding raised by the Normandy Memorial Guardian Programme will be devoted to ensuring the long-term maintenance and sustainability of the Memorial.
