D-Day - 75 Stories: Sister Dorothy Anyta Field

Sister Dorothy Anyta Field is one of only two women out of 22,442 service personnel to be named on the British Normandy Memorial.

Her story of devotion to her patients is read by British Army Reservist and NHS nurse, Major Rose Chapman.

Major Chapman is a member of 243 (The Wessex) Field Hospital. She has served close to the frontline herself, treating injured and sick service men and women.

The ‘22,442 Sacrifice for Freedom Campaign’ is raising funds to complete the British Normandy Memorial. You can donate to the campaign by visiting this link.

Your support and generosity is very much appreciated.
