D-Day - 75 Stories: Sir Winston Churchill
Today is the last day of our ‘D-Day 75 Stories’ series.
Sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed, particularly to the loved ones of those who were killed on D-Day or during the Battle of Normandy, for so generously sharing their priceless documents, photographs and treasured memories.
It seems fitting that we should complete our series with the story Sir Winston Churchill, our wartime Prime Minister.
But what was he thinking at this precise moment 75 years ago? What would he have made of the British Normandy Memorial? Here to tell us is Randolph Churchill, Sir Winston Churchill’s great-grandson.
The ‘22,442 Sacrifice for Freedom Campaign’ is raising funds to complete the British Normandy Memorial. You can donate to the campaign by visiting this link.
Your support and generosity is very much appreciated.
